Residential Installation

Installation is one of the most important aspects of a quality window tint job. With a poor installation, even the best of films will look like the worst. At Solar Art we pride ourselves at having only the best installers in the industry.

Each Solar Art installer has a minimum of 15 years experience and is extensively trained and knowledgeable about all the products they install and can answer any questions you might have during the installation.

We understand that allowing us inside your home is a privilege and our installers are trained to do everything to ensure the process goes fast, efficient and as smooth as possible.

Residential Warranty

All residential installed films have a Lifetime Warranty from the manufacturer. The warranty covers bubbling, peeling, haziness, color change or any other defect inherent in the film. Fortunately, when installing a quality window film product, warranty claims are extremely rare.

With thousands of windows tinted by our company annually film failure occurs in less than 1% of the windows with the brands we sell.

Glass Breakage

Very rarely glass breakage occurs on dual-pane windows with film. This is due a number of factors that include the glass working harder to keep heat from coming inside your home. Most often times glass breakage occurs when other factors contribute to the thermal stress such as: partial shading of windows from overhangs, tightly fitting drapes or blinds, signs or decals on windows, or heating and cooling vents directed at glass.

With thousands of windows tinted by our company annually glass breakage occurs in less than 1% of the windows.

The warranty on Glass Breakage is 5 years from the date of installation and covers glass and film replacement including labor for up to $500.00 per window.

Seal Failure

Very rarely a dual pane window will develop condensation between the two panes. This occurs on windows with and without film. It has been proven over the years that window film has no effect on the seal failure of dual pane windows.

Premature failure of sealed units is usually caused by one of three reasons:

1. Poor design of the unit so that it will not pass the standard ASTM tests recommended by the Sealed Insulated Glass Manufacturers Association (SIGMA).
2. Poor workmanship on an individual unit during fabrication.
3. Poor frame design which will allow the unit to sit in a high moisture environment.

Because some window manufactures void their warranty on tinted windows, film manufactures offer a 3 year warranty from the date of installation on seal failure if the window has existing coverage for that period.

The warranty covers glass and film replacement including labor for up to $500.00 per window.
