Solar Art installed window graphics to an office in Oakland, California! The conference room in this office has a large glass wall that allows full visibility into the rest of the office. Like we have seen many times before, this customer liked their glass wall and the way it made their office look aesthetically, but they unfortunately weren’t happy with the lack of privacy. People in other parts of the office were able to see into conferences and meetings very easily. There was no sense of confidentiality or privacy whatsoever. With that being said, they were looking for a way to increase privacy in the conference room area. When it comes to conference room privacy, we often see people install a frosted window film as it provides maximum privacy and has a clean and modern aesthetic.This customer, however, was looking for something very different. Before this project the business owner had never had window film installed so he wasn’t exactly sure what he could do and what he couldn’t do. He worked closely with both our sales representative and our graphics specialist to come up with the window graphic you see below!
When our sales representative originally met with the customer to talk to him about what his different options are, he talked about frosted window film, decorative window film and custom graphics. The customer wasn’t really interested in decorative window film and frosted window film. The whole office really did like the look of the glass wall so they weren’t looking to completely block views in and out of the room. They were mainly looking for something that would make it more difficult to see into meetings and what was being presented. In addition to that, the more the customer was learning about custom graphics the more interested he became. He started to think about how cool it would be to install a window graphic that represented their company and would be meaningful to the entire office. They discussed it as an team and decided they wanted something colorful and meaningful to them. They then started working closely to our graphics specialist to come up with and perfect the design. They had some sort of idea of what they were looking for at that point and our graphics team made it come to life! Once it was designed, the customer was sent a proof of what the window graphic would look like on the glass. At that point the customer has the ability to tweak or change anything they don’t like. Once the proof is approved by the customer, the window graphic is ready to be installed! The customer was really pleased with the outcome of the installation. As you can see from the photo, it isn’t impossible to see into the conference room, but it is definitely much harder than it was before. Privacy was increased and they now had a meaningful window graphic for their office to enjoy everyday. If the customer decides later on down the road they no longer want the window graphic, it can easily be removed with no damage to the glass.
