Ceramic Window Tint Installation in Ross, California

Solar Art installed a ceramic window tint to a home in Ross, California! Located just north of San Francisco, Ross has beautiful weather and gorgeous views. The home has a lot of windows throughout it to utilize the views and the natural light they are lucky to have. However, with the heat and the sun exposure comes problems, which the homeowner was experiencing. The first floor of the home, mainly the family room and dining area experienced a lot of heat and sun exposure coming through the glass. The homeowner was noticing that their furniture and floors were starting to get sun-faded and those rooms were always hot and uncomfortable to be in. The homeowner expressed that the family didn’t like sitting at the kitchen table because of the heat.

With that being said, the homeowner wanted to find a way to reduce heat and protect their furniture from sun fading, without compromising their views and natural light. Since the customer didn’t want to compromise views or natural light, blinds and shades weren’t a great option. The homeowner did research online and came across Solar Art’s residential solar film page. From there they learned that window film can help them with both their heat and sun exposure issues, so they decided to reach out to Solar Art for a free consultation!

Solar Art's Goals

Since the customer was having issues with heat and sun exposure, Solar Art’s main goal was to help them solve both of those problems. Our sales representative met with the homeowner at the home to take a look at the problem windows. Our sales representative made it a point to visit the home at the hottest part of the day to get a feel for the heat and sun exposure the customer was talking about. When the sales representative met with the customer, this is where he learned the specifics of what the homeowner was looking for.

This is where our sales representative learned that the customer wanted to keep their views outside, keep natural light, and not change the aesthetics of the home. The reason why not changing the aesthetics of the home is so important is because the homeowner wasn’t interested in getting window film installed to every window throughout the home. The rooms on the side of the house with the family room and dining area get a lot of sun exposure, whereas the rooms on the other side of the home didn’t get that sun exposure so they were cooler and more comfortable. The homeowner was interested in getting window film installed only to the problem windows without having the overall look of the house look weird.

Solar Art's Suggestions

After hearing the specifics of what the homeowner was looking for, our sales representative suggested the Huper Ceramic line. He suggested ceramic window tint because it is a high performing window film that will help reduce heat and isn’t going to change the aesthetics of the home. From there, our sales representative showed the customer different samples of options within the ceramic window tint line so they could hold up the samples and see what they look like against their glass. Our sales representative talked with the customer about each of the different windows films and what kind of performance they have.

What the Customer Chose

After speaking with our sales representative and hearing his suggestions, the customer decided to take his suggestion and go with one of Huper Optik’s ceramic window tint, specifically C40. Huper Optik’s ceramic window tint isn’t going to change the look of the home because it doesn’t contain any metals or dyes. Not containing any metals or dyes is what makes the product “ceramic” and is going to keep the aesthetics of the home the same.

This ceramic window tint blocks 55% of heat, 53% of glare, and 99% of UVA and UVB rays. Blocking 55% of heat from entering is going to make the space significantly more comfortable. The family will be able to sit at the kitchen table without having to deal with the annoying heat and glare. Those UVA and UVB rays are the leading cause of sun fading, so by blocking 99% of them the homeowner is prolonging the lifespan of their furniture and belongings.

Results of the Window Film Installation

The homeowner felt that ceramic window tint was the perfect solution for their home and decided to have it installed to all of the problem windows in the family room and dining area. The installation ended up being 172 total square feet of ceramic window tint installed. This installation was a success because we were able to help the homeowner find a solution to their heat and sun exposure problems without compromising natural light or changing the aesthetics of the home. In addition to ceramic window tint and solar film, Solar Art also services decorative window film, custom graphics, anti graffiti film, window security film, and exterior building wraps.
