After going through all the samples and learning about the different benefits each solar film provides, they customer decided they liked a solar film made by 3M called Prestige 50. This solar film has low interior and exterior reflectivity. What this means is it’s not going to make the rooms dark or uninviting. While maintaining all views and still allowing in natural light, this solar film is still going to block 56% of heat, 44% of glare and 99% of UVA and UVB rays. Blocking 56% of heat is going to significantly help with the problem of the home being warm and uncomfortable, without the homeowner having to resort to the air conditioning. The customer was also worried about sun fading. They wanted to protect their furniture and floors from the sun as much as possible. That’s where UVA and UVB rays come into play. These ultraviolet rays are the leading culprit of sun fading. By blocking 99% of them, the homeowner is extending the life of their furnishings. The customer decided this was the best fit for their home and wanted to remove their old window film and install this solar film to all the glass throughout their home.
